The Mosaic created by the tweets from the hashtag #StudyAbroadBecause part of the White House / State Department initiative to create an office of Study Abroad which was the main thrust of the Travel Blogger Summit that I was invited to earlier this month in Washington, D.C.

I am officially one of #WHTravelBlogger's collective - 100 of the top travel influencers from around the world.  It was honor to be included among this prestigious group, to be invited to the White House and to next year travel to Turkey for the second meeting of the White House Blogger's Travel Summit.

Austin photographer, Jack Hollingsworth and I got started on Twitter about the same time and most likely in photography about the same time too. Being nominated along with Jack certainly elevates my opinion of this award. Another friend and fellow Coloradan is among the nominated. Kara Williams from Carbondale is nominated as one of The Vacation Gals. Their blog just won a very prestigious Gold Medal from Society of American Travel Writers(SATW) Lowell Thomas Awards.
